Well today is the day my family of 3 is now a family of 4.
My son Nikolas was born today, at 2:00pm. He was 4.63kg, which in the old scale is 10lbs 3oz, which is a big baby in anyones books. He is doing well, my wife had a really quick and easy labour, and is recovering well. We'll just have to wait and see now how our 18 month old daughter copes with not being the centre of attention. Any way, thats about all for now, just had to share my news with everyone!!

Thanks Gav. Thanks Beckie.
She is the talk of the ward at the moment, cause she didn't have stitches or anything afterwards either, pretty much unheard of with a baby that size!

i know a lot of mummy's boys on here, but they can still use a spanner ;) lol and i know a lot of tools....nah just j/k on that last 1 ;)
amazing she didn't need stitches!! what's her secret? not that i will need to know for a LONG time! but still ;) lol i reckon bubs that are induced are much more relaxed, as mum is prepared etc etc, so she's not stressed and nor is the baby. fantastic news to hear it went so smoothly :)
when do u get to take him home?

Hello new mods to car!!!!
I wish, some of the baby money will probably go towards buying a new car, so I can fit my family in. 3 1/2 years ago I didn't think about having a wife and 2 kids to fit in the Astina  :o

Hopefully, Saturday they will be coming home, as long as everything is going well. Just been to visit, and he is starting to look normal now, not so purple anymore.

Well my wife and Nik came home on saturday afternoon, and so far so good. He really only wakes up once during the night, then at 5:30ish for another feed, so I'm getting a reasonable amount of sleep. My daughter thinks he is just fantastic, although today she was a bit cranky, and she belted him on the head   but it didn't phase him, he squeaked and then went back to sleep. Good news at the moment we can fit our pram in the back of the Astina with 2 car seat straps coming down, so plans for a new car are on hold for a little while. Saving me money ;)

...sounds like a dream baby.... relatively easy labour, wakes up only once during the night ....... sleeps....
one of my mates has been having real trouble with getting her bub into a routine... (she's six months and just settled down now...gorgeous little thing but stubborn)
If I ever get to have kids, i hope they sleep through most nights :)
Hope your wife is holding up well also.... wow, new babies...so exciting :D

that thought just scares me..... congrats to your partner and new born (after all we just get lumped with the, "it's not like you did much anyway")
i'm sure you know what i'm talking about!

i'm already stocking up on earplugs for when i have kids - hahaha WHEN being the operative word. if they're anything like i was when i was a baby, they'll be screaming until they are 10 years old :p damn hyperactive, red heads ;)
glad to hear the bub is all good!! damn fantastic he's sleeping so well!! i just didn't think that was possible!!
