OK,
Plan: Drive - BBQ - drive again scenario.
Course: Melbourne eastern suburbs - Yarra Valley and part the way back.
Date: October 15th, I think it's a Sunday.

**EDIT**

I can confirm that the 15th is this Sunday
Meeting point is the north-East corner of the Vermont South shopping centre (Melway 62 G-7).
Time: 10:45 meet for an 11:00 departure.
Duration: about 90 minutes all things going well.
Lunch: BBQs just off River St Healesville. It is also close to a supermarket.
I'll bring the sausages and bread for the BBQ, please bring your own drinks. If you have a special diet please bring your own.

After lunch I will have a choice of two routes which I'm sure won't suit everyone so it will be decided by those who attend.

Note: this is intended to be an enjoyable social outing, bring your good road manners.

The 15th October I am rostered to work. That may change though as I may be moving teams around that time, so I'll have to play it by ear for now. At this stage though that date is out for me.

I'm keeping a watch on some bush fires that may change the route.
Damn, a cruise is normaly easier than this. I hope that the families close to the fires stay safe.

hey rod, sorry I may not be able to make it tomorrow,

did a test ride to the meet point today, and the bike starting to show signs of problems, going to my mates place now to see what he can do, but I'll let you guys know by tonight.

taking the car instead like last time is not an option this time, as I need the bike running as I'll need it for a funeral I'm going to on monday. :(

ok, bikes working fine again, so I'm back in

btw are there any landmarks at the meeting point i can look out for? i kind of knew where it was but not exactly, there was no obvious shopping centre.

It was a relief to see that Chris was OK after his off road antics.

Thanks to those who came along.

Yeah, he's fine. Apart from a bruise on his leg from a $2 coin that was in his pocket LOL

CityEnd
18-10-2006, 01:25 AM
hahah unfortunately there is no visible bruise, for some strange reasons bruises don't show on me. I discovered this years ago when I did martial arts, get beat up good, tender to touch but no black or blue..
Can't see where the bruise is, but if i feel around the area i can find that tender spot that is the size of a 2 dollar coin :D
I also got a 2cm graze and that's it.

btw dan your "LOL" contradicts your animated sig image :P

Rupewrecht

i actually thought that after i posted something on here...but hey, i'm a mass of contradictions ;)
