i was driving along friday night at brassall going straight ahead thru the lights and just 25metres after the lights someone from the other direction decides to turn into maccas at the last minute next thing i know im braking hard because he's turned right in front on me and Bang there goes my astina and his mirage is got abit of body damage but he had to jump thru the window to get out and i think his chassis might be bent but heres a few pics of what happened to my car and i've got insurance so does he but im only going to get like $2500 back :eek: thats sucks but any way we both walk out of our cars with no scratch or nothing

geez sorry to hear about this. upside.. ur all ok. downside.. sux $2500 as if that will get you anything half decent nowadays :S

That's a shame to see a car destroyed. See if you can buy the car back off the insurance company and sell the good parts on here. Make a little extra maybe.

That is not good at all...... being as its his fault shouldnt his insurance fix you up? Or doesnt he have full cover??

Depends on how much damage is done. For example: The redbook value of the BG is around $2500 and the damage done might be $1900, so it is financially un-viable to fix it.

damn worst than i imagined...
yeah i agrra with ripper on this one,buy the car back from the insurance company..prob best option..they might want like a grand or less..
mate owned a 95 gti swift..write it off into the back of a beamer..he had the option to buy it back for 1000..so im guessin they shouldnt ask too much..

is that a neon that has fallen off and is on the ground in front of the front bar?
i thought stuff like that insurance companies used to have a cheap way of voiding it...oh well not your fault anyway...sucks that it had to end that way, apart from the obvious it looks to be a very straight car...
i had extractors 2 1/4 all the way thru high flow muffler and 4inch dump pipe tip and yes thats a neon hanging out of the front grill it looked sweet when they were on but oh well sH!t happens

lol at the neon, ive got neons on my car as well, did the insurance company ask about it or the guy in the mirage or anything? cause i'd hate it if my neons were NOT on and i crashed and aami says something like ooh u didnt tell us about that and they're kinda illegal anyway so we wont give u any money...

my insurance company is RACQ but i have to go with the other guys insurance to get my money back and there CGU and the neons ok because i hardly ever turned them on and hopefully its hidden enough
