K&N filter pods are apparently a defect.
However i have heard that they are ok if they are in the filter box.
Is this true?
any pod filter not properly enclosed is a defect.
id even broaden that to any filer not enclosed by a sealed chamber is defectable. I believe pods are fine as long as they are held in a sealed chamber but I think theo has had issues with his pod in a box setup. He might enlighten us a little as I know he likes to read RTA guidelines :)

Hey, anybody know much about a product by BMC called 'Carbon Dynamic Airbox' ? it looks pretty cool being carbon fiber n stuff...
http://www.bmcairfilters.com/infoCDA.asp
But one thing that has troubled me is it says that it's not for highway use. Road race use only.
i think they're pretty pricey too...
here's a pic of what it looks like. ====> http://www.bmcairfilters.com/immagini/infoCDA2.jpg

They appear to have a 4-5 Kw gain at the wheel. For that sort of money??
Also, i am wondering if the race only warning is because they dont have protection against water? like the K&N CAIs do.
