hey..

i have an sr20de sitting in the backyard ready to be rebuilt, and have just bought a stand for it...

does anybody know the size of the bolts that connect the gearbox to the block?? are all engines the same size??

thanks for any help you might be able to offer..

if you have one of the bolts that held the gearbox onto the engine, take one of them down to a nut and bolt shop and ask for a longer ones. that will be the best way to do it, not sure if all of the bolts are the same size on all engines/gearboxs.

I work in Nissan Spares but I'll only get a quanity and a part number

its rare to see catalogues list sizes of bolt's, belts, seals etc

ahh ok.. thanks anyways for the help.. i wasnt given any bolts to startwith, plus they had to be massively long..

In case anybody in the distant future is askin the same question you will need -

M12 x 90mm 2 of - the nuts arent needed, they screw into the gearbox holes, this on the left side.

M12 x 120mm x 2 - the nuts are needed, there arent any threaded holes on the right side of the engine, so use these to go thru the holes where the starter used to be..
