Wings to fly !!!!

Hey ppl,

I'm pulling some serious g's around the corners at the lights bro' and I need some sik wing/spoiler to give me some extra grip...... {cough...}

Seriously... My astina has no wing and I was wondering how much the original mazda style one is, where I can get one and how it is fitted? I live in Brisvegas. Would it be worth my while going to a wreckers????

I'm also looking at getting a set of mags and i'm not sure if I want 16's or 17's.... Kind of looking for the Azzuro multi-spoke type....



Willing to spend around the $1500 mark....

I dont think the wing is gunna give ya more grip around tight corners man,its more for keeping the arse on the ground at high speeds :P
The rear wing that comes on most Astina's is held on by 4screws on the 4cyl,and has an extra bolt in the centre on the v6models :P
Dont know of the costs for this wing,ive just taken mine off,tossing up wether to leave it off or put it back on :?

My wing is only two screws.... so i think they went a bit sting on earlier models.

Oh and its a bolt from memory not a screw..

Think it depends on who made the wing. Since the 4cyl didn't come
with a wing from the factory all wings are non genuine. There is
more markup for a mazda dealer to get the wing local from say SSV
that to use a gen one but they still charge you full price. I couldn't
believe a friend paid $600 for his through a dealer. I paid $100 but
that was a little special.

anyway, i'd say try a wreckers, as they'll probably have one the same color...depending on the color of your car :)

I have had the no spoiler look for 2 months now and it was fun for
a while but I know it will look better with the VT wing.

I think that Dan was referring to his bagging out of Noble green cars.
And Dan you are not right. You only see a noble green type colour
on the sportier cars like the hatch, mx5's, rx7's, porshe's etc whereas
I am sure I have seen that red on cars like Camry's, Pajero's etc.

Love the no spoiler look. Leave it off. Oh, and Passion Rose is a limited edition colour, like Noble green. After 96, they changed it to Passion Red. Just that Passion Rose looks better. :twisted: :twisted:

ive got the original wing i took it off but im gunna keep it and store it, i put a bigger one on it the ''VS'' style one i like it better, but i know a place who has the original wing though if u want me to find out about it.
