ok, i understand that we (astina-ba owenrs)can change the standart wheels to 18" rims, right ?
my Q is : do i have to change the stock springs and shocks when i'm changing the size of the rims?
i want 16" or 17".
i dont know if it's legal in ur country , i know that the maximum size for 1.8 liter engine is 15" in here (israel).
i saw in the car book a 16" size for snow and 15" for normal conditions/
how come ?

Hmmm, well here in NZ you can slap any rims on any car (i.e. 21" chromies on mini) as long as they don't go out past the guards... *cough* flare them! *cough*
In terms of suspension, if you have smaller rims then your car will look better the lower it is but if you have 18's or 19's you probably don't want to lower your car too much otherwise the tyres will rub and you won't got too far without smelling burning rubber!

You can fit any size rims on you want, it's just the width is the problem
and the bigger wheels that you fit, the more liely you are to break your gearbox because of the added stresses.
about 7.5 is the widest you can go, but it's pretty hard to find 19x7.5 rims heheh
lenso MUSE 19*7.5" hehe, not that i've looked at these!!!
