hey all id just like to say how much i love AGT and its members. Its good to know that there is still one forum out there with decent people that want to help others and are never 2 busy to lend a hand and answer questions. I think this forum is the most friendly and close knit bunch of people and that really makes it stand out.

On other hand ive recently just posted a topic on PGA (pulsar forum aus) which explains why im upset with them and their lack of shall we say help. Its liek they want to talk about msn topics more than about what people post. And dont bother asking 4 help as i have asked about my problem and a whole 1 person replyed in like 4-5 days.

So once again thanks to the members of AGT and those who make AGT possible.

Cheers. :p

Yeah.. So?

This forum is great, but I have been a member of so many forums now and they are all good for one reason or another.
This one does not stand out as the best ever.

At least my answer is honest.

valid answer chimpy my boi. but care to share which you think is the best you are part of and why? Just out of curiosity.

I had to say no aswell! :(

For all the reason you like AGT, i like www.bmsc.com.au, which is australia's leading rallying forum, which, as its closer to home for me, just pips AGT for the win! ;)

Having said that i don't actually post on it that often... :p

And Mike voted no cos he keeps getting banned
For me this is the friendliest family style forum but there are others that I turn to for tech help
OMG

Thanks guys, you're awesome - keep up the good work ;)

There is no real answer to that.
Different forums offer me different things.

Best forum in terms of friendiness for me.

PGA are a bunch of asshats. The forums there used to be good about 3 years ago but it's predominantly full of idiots now, and a lot of the people with decent knowledge have left there because of it.

but anyway...

AGT is good, but not the best.

generally it's good. there is a few issues that do not need to be spoken about. like all forums, there's fights, bitching etc which i'm normally in the middle of. but mostly peps on here are friendlier and more helpful.

the site that greg (astro boy) noted is also good, but i find then not as good as this one. but then i'm not into rallying as much these days as i used to.

i'm for the yes... hell i don't have a mazda anymore and i'm still here...

socially and technically i find its a great mix on here

technical forums tend to be a pain because know it alls aren't too willing to help

social forums are crappy coz all people do is talk **** and no help

this is in between

Its a yes from me!

I'm hooked up with a couple of car forums, such as OMC, Ozgemini, boostcruising to name a few and would find this site to be the most helpful, theres always a cruise to attend (and hate missing if i dont), its an overall winner in my book :)

Edit: I read ure thread on PGA andy, seems like those boys seem to be more post whores then actual helpers... My advice would to take it to another mechanic and get a second opinion...

But i must say, all AGT cruises have been pretty good.

yeah gota say this forum is pretty damn friendly and very welcoming to new comers and the people are always willing to help where they can..
yeah there is bitching here and there..but its usually betwenn those of us who know each other quite well, and sorta like brother/sisterly fighting if u get wat i mean..
but its definately a yes for me:)

kinda like family..no matter how long u have been away..u come back back n its like u never left..:)

i gotta say this forum is quite friendly and the general vibe is everyone is down to earth, just regular car enthusiasts.

i would say that the posts in agt are quite helpful for when i've had problems within my mazda.

there's always bitching and all that not only in forums but in reality but that's human nature.

anyways feel the love in agt!

peace out

well without doubt, this is my comfort zone here. some of my closest friends were made on here. i was only thinking that on the weekend when nate and coley came down. def many memories were made at kittywa's wedding. and many ppl have lended me their shoulders when i've needed.

yes okay, i'm one of the main social butterflies of this forum. i help to organise nsw cruises and always try to catch up peeps when i'm interstate. i know a bit about cars, but i'm def not the person to come for for technical help. lol. i do get called a car geek from the boy, but he owns a commonwhore, so how would he know :p

and eeeekkkk i've NEVA owned a mazda (well it is an astina inside and under the hood...), except for a temp period of 3 mths lol ;) i'm a member of OMC (well actually i haven't been on it in ages, so prob not nemore!) and FL.com, but they don't offer me anything that AGT has. so u can see why i stick around. we always stay close to our family :) + some ppl know intimate details of what happens under tables, so i have to keep an eye on those ppl.....
kiss kiss!! XXX

I'll be voting yes, not beucase AGT is always the best place for tech or always the best for the people, but it's a consistently top notch community. Sure other sites come and go from the top of the list but AGT is the community, it is where most of us come back to. Most importantly unlike a lot of other forums people on AGT understand the concept of sharing.

It's become one of my greatest bugbears about forums is that so many people do a bunch of research, do a mod, publish photos of the mod and then promptly work to discourage others from the same development path without explaining reasons. Nor will they actually share what they did - either becuase they think they can get rich off it, or becuase they want to be the only people with the mod.

Fortunately there's not much of that on AGT, instead there's a community of peoplewho will go out of their way to attempt to help out.

A.
