Hey,
I am considering getting myself a new body board and getting into a bit of surfing.
Does anyone know of any products that i could keep my key/immobiliser thingy in while in the water?
What do any of you people use??

Where you gonna go surfing? Blackman's Bay and Kingston is too calm. Methinks you'd like Roaring beach down past the Huon Valley! :) It's a bit north of the salmon farms, you can get there from Police Point.

Seven Mile? Is that the one with the rough dirt track you go out on way down past the tourist caves? Argh, memory failing... Oh, that might be Cockle's?

Seven Mile is sorta down Acton way - havent been there for faaaarkin ages!
You can get to it by turning off just past the Airport or by turning off another road just before you hit Lauderdale..... you know those places at all?

I'm not really confident once I'm over the bridge past the airport. Dad owns the Scented Rose B&B in Cygnet now, and has lived in Dover and Franklin, and runs the IGA at Huonville you see. So I can get around the south reasonably well, but I haven't been up past Port Arthur yet. I didn't bother to go check out the water spout when I went up that way though either.

ahh ok, it isnt as far down as P. Arthur - turnoff is between the airport roundabout there and the first causeway bit before Sorell.
So you come down here much then?

Nah, I haven't been down the way since Taste of Tassie 04/05. I wanted to head down on my holidays, but I got bitten by a redback 2 days after Christmas and I am still recovering. I love Tassie, it's the right pace for me and the roads are great (with the exception of that S bend on the Huon HWY!). The colour of the water near that causeway you mention looks mad from the air flying into Hobart!

Where do you live?

Ahhhh, its been a while then hey!
Yeah, i love the drive up to the shack - a nice set of little twisties just outside Orford - gives me the full on s#!ts when i'm stuck behind a caravan/slow driver when i just wanna floor it!
I live at Howrah (on the Eastern Shore of Hobart)
