Yes folks it's really happening. I'm selling my 2002 Renault Clio Sport. It's a excellent car with the performance credentials backing up the 'hot' tag. You won't find a better factory performance package at this price!

Rather than flood all the details here is the ad that's going into the press:

-----Print Ad------
Renault Clio Sport 2002 Monaco Blue, 29000km, Rego YCL10Y until May 04, All standard Clio Sport features inc Climate Control, ABS, Leather interior, CD changer, 124kw engine. Hot Hatch bargain with a huge saving on replacement price. See online http://members.ausmicro.com/clio $28000ono. Phone 0417694578
-----End Print Ad------

The price is about $2K below replacement price and a whopping $8K below what I paid for the car.

The web page has got further details specs and pictures.

At the moment I'm getting a new pair of shoes and the ability to bum the use of KittyKats BA...

*laughs* New car will probably be cheap on lease leaving me a better 'play budget' for the hardtop project ;)

Just you hang on one second......

Who exactly gave you use of my Astina??????? :?

Is that why you washed and polised my car for me?

http://www.ausmicro.com/AmuseD/Astina/IMG_4862.jpg

was waiting for me when I got home

http://www.ausmicro.com/AmuseD/Astina/IMG_4864.jpg

note the sticker still hadn't dried.....

http://www.ausmicro.com/AmuseD/Astina/IMG_4868.jpg

but still looked nice

I like the way the trees reflect off the bonnet and stuff..... looks sweet in the second shot!!!!!
bewdiful, brings a tear to my eye.

And as of TODAY, the sticker finally came off, the sticky stuff had sorta gone off despite following the directions properly...... took four days!!!!
Lucky I was once again locked in the big house!!!
But am officially part of AstinaGT now with sticker on the windshield and it's funny but the car drives faster now.........

Hmmmm..... think I might have to lend my car to Aaron so that he can clean it too.

I wonder if he does boats as well?......... :-)

The sad admission from me is that I actually enjoy it. I know some people think of it as a chore, others think that it's a necessary evil to getting the visual satisfaction out of the car.... But I actually enjoy it "That's just wveird isn't it"...

Probably something to do with the smells of all the different products. The Diamond Glaze on the Astina ain't half as much fun as the Mothers range of products with their candy like scents though. Although a three stage Mothers job comes up a bit better it does take like 4 times longer to do!

It is aided by the fact that Kitty did get me on of those cool low rpm radmon orbit car buffing gadgets for my birthday some months ago.... Makes the flat surfaces a breeze ....

mmmm....... buffing machine....... drool.

I must admit I was skeptical about power buffing cars, but since seeing the advent of these 'special' purpose built ones and now having used one they are so worth it.

Did both the Clio (see the pics of the results on the site with the For Sale info) and the Astina in an afternoon including washing them....

*grin* Have the Karcher for Washing the power buffer for polishing... I think I'm a bit of a lamo car cleaning freak ;)

*laugsh* Still I have/had the Trophies to prove it ......

Thats 6hrs of your life youll never re-claim....

Im the kind that pays the $50 and has a coffee :) They dont do the best of jobs but hey... saves me doing it... :)

I swear you should start a detailing business theo... your cars always look good... just need to cut down the time to make it profitable..

Yeah not long now and it'll be gone form our driveway!

*grins*

Kitty and I will be spending a few long weeks doing some looking and hunting for the right car.

I'm a little dubious about buying a car that's specifically going to be a 'project car' and having it as a daily driver.... I've done it... It's fun, until the hard suspension, the loud exhaust and the very lound (trumpet shaped and hence trumpet sounding) intake wear out the ar5e,ears and entertainment value.

Ohhh but you never know, I know how much I'd like to do the project for.... ($20K for running condition with 2.5L installed)
