I was out driving early this morning and came across a Garage Sale so i decided to go in for a look.
On walking into the garage i saw some mags with tyres so went for a closer inspection.... they had $650 on them, on talking to him he said he had them on a Lancer and the tyres had only done 7000 kms, he also said he paid about $1600 for them.
I offered him $500, he said $550 so i took them.
Here they are:

Should i put them on the Astina or keep my current ones? I really only got them for the tyres as Low Profiles are alomost that to replace alone and mine will need replacing soon.
How much do you reckon i'd get if i sold these rims minus the tyres?
Ta people ;)
J
EDIT* On looking at these suckers the offset is 40????
Looks like they wont be going on the astina if this is the case.

I rang +38 on the Astina for LONG TIIIME with it lowered, and with a nice rounded shoulder on the sidewall it would only scrub on the most hardcore of touge battles. You will be fine! :) Well, unless the tyre size is gay...

Cool! i was all dissapointed!!!
The tyre size is 205/45.
Would you recommened gettin them put on by a pro or would it be ok to jack it up and do it myself?
Thanks so much:D

My opinion the news one, dont get me wrong the ones on your car now is okay, and new ones look just as good, plus you dont have to pay someone to take the tyres off the put them on the one you got now etc..., just check the balance, put them on and wheel alignment - and should be sweet.

Thanks, a few of my mates reckon do the swap too.
Check the balance??? I have no idea how to do that or the alignment.
One of dads mates owns a tyre/repair place so i think i will end up just gettin him to do the changeover - safe/cheap option - unless its easily describable by you:D

Yeah once you take it to your friends tyre shop, he should easliy check the balance, and any tyre shop (well most) should do the wheel aglinment for you, that way all 4 wheels should be rotating the same and not hopefully getting tyre wear onto one side or the other, cost about $50 to do the wheel agilnment, but worth it ! and if his your dads friend maybe you'll get a discount or free ;)

nice rims. You'd be surprised how cheap springs can be. It's the machanic which attaches them to the car that is costly.

Thanks for the comments everyone:)
How much to you reckon i would get for the old rims? They are in pretty good cond, and 2 of the tyres still have pretty decent rubber on them... The other 2 are OK but would need replacing soon.
Thanks in advance.

Wasn't ryan after something a little less rubber bandy for his dirt adventures? may be worth PM'ing him or ebay them. $$$ i have no idea
