A bit of help...

hey Guys south of the border in particular!

How u doin? Lovely day isn't it.....

ok i'll get onto topic.... (Wow i'm distracted before the first post of a thread!)

I'm wondering if anyone has some advice they could lend in a bit of a dilemma we're working through....

Greggles and I, plus two others, will be journeying south of the border Next Weekend (9th, 10th, 11th)... we are flying into Canberra Saturday afternoon and are trying to get to Bega for a rally which is on the 10th (not actually entering...)

We are kind of in a bit of a situation at the moment, with the 4 of us going down, only 1 (greg) is on his opens, but he doesn't turn 21 until september, so the hire companies don't want to let us have a car......

Are there any canberrarians/nswelshppls who may know of ways to get around this little hiccup, or who may know of other alternative ways to get to bega? We are looking at staying in bega saturday night and sunday night, coming back to Canberra on Monday (staying Monday night) and we fly out at the crack of dawn on Tuesday....

if anyone has any advice on our little adventure, please lend us your suggestions!

theres a bus that goes from canberra to bega i know of. apart from someone lending you a car i cant see much cheaper way of doing it than that.

yeah a bus sounds the go....they are longer and like to stop at every bloody tourist spot but they are cheap and somewhat cumfy i spose....

i know there are a couple of companies that will hire to 19+ but i don't know of any in canberra - try calling a travel agent as they often know!

try hiring station wagons - for some odd reason these are often ok... try avis?

or invite someone older!

yeah sort of... Avis will hire an 18+ on his opens in Sydney, but NOT canberra... so know i've got to change myf flight ot sydney, and drive down...
