Hello guys,

I have a mazda astina from '91 with rear disc's. But my handbrake doesn't work!

I really need help here. I already tightened the screw underneath the centerpiece where the lever is. But I can still push the car forward...

I looked at how the handbrake cable runs underneath the car and I saw it wen't to a small bend right before you can attach it to the rear caliper (where the red arrow is). Is this normal, I also noticed I could adjust the iron thingey to decreas the bend in the cable (the thing where the blue arrow is).

Will this help, or is there another way to tighten the cable?

I hope I can solve this, otherwise I'll have to buy new calipers :(

Nice DavoAust!

Thnx m8, you've just made my day! I'll try the allen bolt at the back of the caliper tomorrow. You've just saved me a lot of money.

I was so stressed I couldn't figure out to use the search function..

Thanks again,

T.
