This is a bit of an odd one and it doesn’t really fit under performance, but it makes it uncomfortable to drive the car so I will stick it here.

A couple of days ago there was suddenly a potent dog **** smell in my car. My immediate reaction was that somebody had stood in a load of crap, but shoes were checked and were clean and so was the interior. Now, this smell is freckin disgusting! Anyways the next day, a mate was ridding with me and he reckoned it was coming from the air con, switch the air con off and the stench goes away.

Now I know the old man's Audi has pollen filters and ****, does the Lantis? Where are they located? And is this likely to be my problem?

Cheers

I cant see any filters :(
You may need to remove the wiper arms and plastic grill beneath them to clean out anything that may be in there. It is the inlet for the fan and also is a water drain so low preasure hose carefuly used will make the job a little easier.

I would say its the a/c evaporator! it gets cold and any air that goes through has the moisture removed & sticks to the evapoator! (like a cold coke can that collects moisture to it) It looks like a thick silver radiator thats fitted under the L/H side after the internal fan! Check the water drain hose is not blocked with crap & stopping the water from getting out! This can cause bacteria to form the the water! (Stinks something rotton)
U can get cans of spray that u spray in onto the evaporator to get rid of the smell!

Enjoy the fresh air!
