I've always wondered what the Mazda2 Genki rims would look on a Protege/Astina, but I must say they do look awesome! Nice car colour too!

smurfy 20-05-2012 07:16 PM

derb 20-05-2012 07:21 PM

i have thought of it, but at the time i'd prefer it to be a little bit lower. but the drive way is my main concern.. :(

it's not the decsent it,s the levelling out part.

xeon8 20-05-2012 08:22 PM

So the car scrapes in the middle when the driveway changes its incline? Is that what you mean?

Sorry for my ignorance if I'm not understanding correctly :p

pretty well, so it goes from a down hill gradient to flat again. it's hard to explain..

smurfy 20-05-2012 08:30 PM

park it where you think it will scrape and measure the clearance..

Where did you find these?!

Ben 20-05-2012 10:40 PM

Welcome! Car looks good! Cant wait to see more :)

P.s, none of you pussies should complain about driveways until you've witnessed mine. Thats 1000% the reason why mine isnt dropped on its ass, it basically rips off my exhaust now :p

Poor Ben...:p haha jokes! Sucks when such factors prevent you from lowering the car.
The end of my driveway gradually rises up (before the curb) and gets to a point where its just a little higher than an average speed bump, then drops down to street level. Now my car is friggin high off the ground, yet it still manages to scrape; not heaps but enough. I'm still lowering my car though, it'll just be parked on the road for now...

Zenki 21-05-2012 12:43 AM

Some driveways are ridiculously high, the house that I rented before, I scraped my front bar every time I go in just a little bit faster than normal (stock height) because the street was pretty busy during peak hour and I didn't want to slow down traffic behind me so I can slowly get in the driveway :D

smurfy 21-05-2012 12:52 AM

Just modify the driveway ;)

I liked our old driveway better, was flat as a pankake all the way through... Then the council decided to make a footpath, ripped up the end of the old driveway and now we have this one. Stupid council!

And thanks for the info Ben! I'm keeping an eye out for similar rims, but no luck so far :(

Not for all springs IIRC. Some springs are wagon/sedan only but I may be mistaken!

Well not only but using one vs the other makes the car look different.

ben carney 24-05-2012 01:19 PM

so, i received my grille this morning, got home from school to see if it fits, before i paint it.
and it doesn't, what do i have to do to make an Ecarboy grille fit?
it's like buldged on one side so it won't fit in

xeon8 24-05-2012 01:28 PM

Im pretty sure that theyre fibreglass, and if it is you could probably (easily) modify it to fit with a bit of spare time and the motivation :)

Also was the grille for a 1.6/1.8 or an SP20?
