Meet and Cruise EOI
 

'Sup, SA dudes (well, xeon8 and Zenki :) ). We've been jabbering about it in other threads for a couple weeks, so I figured it was actually time to sort this out. Would be cool to do something before the 'silly season' sets in and everyone is uber busy.

What days/times are people generally free? I'm good for most mornings and early afternoons till I work at 5pm, with Saturdays usually being totally available.

Once we know when, then we can decide what we want to do. I know the beach was suggested. If anyone is feeling adventurous, the way up through the hills to Lobethal is a riot. Keen for any other routes/photoshoot locations too.

I have 2 more weeks of gridiron to film on sat nights, and then free.

Good to see another Adelaide member lurking about! :D I have no idea when cop-active periods are, haha. You might have to enlighten me on that one. Maybe we could do a beach day and photoshoot, and if people are keen, a run through the hills at night when there's less traffic, as it's a b*tch trying to overtake during the day.

I'll have to see when I'm free. Work is quite hectic at the moment, I've been working every day from 9-m. I do have a few Saturdays off though so I'd be down then.

As for ideas, a hills cruise sounds cool; I love those. Lobethal is a sweet drive, I should have my strut bar by then so I'd be keen to test out the handling. Also a photoshoot along the beach sounds good :) Just need the wax and polish out :rolleyes:

Which saturdays? Sounds like that will be our best bet. I don't seem to have anything in for the next three weeks... the 8th, the 15th or the 22nd.

So we could run down through hills maybe in the early morn (when do you guys wake up? haha) then head off for some beachin' and photos.

I've got the next 3 Saturdays off so I'd be keen to go out on either one of those days.

Plans for hills in the morning then beach after that sound perfect. Should be a nice cruise :)

Weeeell, should we pencil in the 15th? Gives you a bit of time to get your strut bar on and any other people to see what they're doing.

i cant do the 15th, could do the morning, but Gridiron SA grand final that im filming will be on in the arvo-evening... so, possibly the morn for the cruize, but after... prob not.

That's cool. Maybe we could hills in the morning (I think that was sort of the idea) and then beach afterwards.

As for photoshoot locations, I usually take most of my photos up in the hills (Gorge, Montacute and Norton Summit roads). Beaches are awesome spots too

I would love to come out for the meet & cruise but I am rostered to work on the 15th at noon so I won't be finish until 9-10 :( How about the 13th?

I would be okay for the 13th, have work, but it's still ages of time to do stuff.

No can do for me on the 13th, rostered on at work from 11-8 :( I'm not free from work until the 17th so I'll have to be the party pooper and suggest catching up sometime that week. I'm incredibly sorry guys :(

How about we start afresh, hahaha. What nights are people free? Like, late. I finish work at about 10pm weekdays, and a night hill cruise would be good for less traffic, and we can work out a day thing for later/next year.

I don't know how much you guys value your sleep though. :)

Are you free the night of the 13th Zenki? If xeon isn't too exhausted after his work, and maybe even Sam might get along. I'm always up for a drive (well, almost always) so I'd be good for something after 10pm.

I'm good for a cruise on the 13th at night; It was just during the day that I was working. ~10pm sounds good to me, too.

As for free nights, I'll be free every night. Its just with Christmas around the corner, work is calling me in literally every day to help out. (with the odd one or two days free, in which case others aren't free then at the same time :o)

Cool, cool. Well, we'll wait for zenki and Sam to get back. If not maybe it'll just be us two, haha.

Yep, I'm bringing my DSLR and possibly a tripod for mad long exposure shots :)

This be a good question. As the clock strikes ten I will be finishing work at Marden, at the shopping centre on the corner of Portrush and Payneham roads. If you want, you guys can meet me there. It depends where we want to cruise.

If we go up the Norton Summit through to Lobethal, we could meet at the service station on the corner of Portrush and Magill rd?

I'm happy to meet at either place, they both are about 5 minutes away from where I live so thats not a problem

If you go down Marden rd off Payneham, you turn left into the shopping centre, then another left into the undercover parking. I'm usually along that strip.

Sorry to be a killjoy, but could we make it 10:30pm instead? I'm working late (9pm (but probably wont leave until 9:30)) all the way up at Modbury, so its a fair drive home, and then back to Marden. Thats all :)

Ended up taking familia out. What's exactly happening. I'll try and come along.

At 10.30 we'll be meeting in the carpark of the Marden Shopping centre, off Marden road. Turnoff is about here:

edit: blarg, the map didn't work, but if you're heading north up Marden road, the turnoff is left into the carpark (just past Kent rd), and then pull another into the carpark where we'll be.

Think the plan is to do a run up through Norton Summit way to Lobethal.

I've also edited some pics from last night, they turned out pretty awesome :D Will upload them too when I get the chance.

Because whenever I'm using google images, if I ever get one that's a photobucket picture it either never loads or the user's account has been deleted.
