Weird 323f's/Astina/Lantis' - Or stupid things?

OK.. inspired by the Astina sightings topic and Mikeys topic with the convertible 323.. and having found the below attached pic of a BA V6 on cardomain.. I thought I'd try this topic and get all the weird looking 323's and pics of ppl doing stupid things in the 323's onto one topic.

SO if you've got some good pics hiding on your HDD's or you've seen something you'd like to show.. pop them in here..

I don't know if this image is real.. Taken from this cardomain page

thats the problem with todays computers - everyone has to question the reality of everything, not saying its a bad thing, just a thought. But yeah there is no way in allf@<kery that i would be letting someone put a camera in front of me while i was doing 240km/h. then agina i cant imagine a cameraman lining it up that well at that speed

Yes.. I had thought that maybe there was a passenger beside or even behind the driver who took a pic from infront.. Who know's it could be legit.. But Photoshop is such a good tool these days, you'd never know.

Isnt there a rev limiter @ 7200rpms in the BA. Been a while since I hit it.

Nate 29-03-2004 01:16 PM

its around 7800 in the BG :P

Cosmo Dude 29-03-2004 01:49 PM

About 7250 actual engine RPM, Mazda tachos are known to be optomistic.
At that speed I wouldn't expect such a clear or straight picture, it could be genuine or a good setup.

fruitbat38 29-03-2004 05:58 PM

Itty bitty tires perhaps?

Mine is set to 3000.

Anything under that and a realy loud alarm sounds :P

BigMal 29-03-2004 06:32 PM

Could have been done on a Dyno.
Notice its a V6 to with the fog light switch thats a lot of
revs for a V6.

Cool to see even if it is fake

hmm at that speed, even on a dyno, youde expect some kinda shuddering/movement effects whilst the shot is being taken. the example given shows none of these characteristics!

cheers mike

LOL sooo not real. but funny just the same. not so sure about the fake carbon fibre around the switches tho!

revlimit was 8k on the V6 from memory in Dogos old car...

nice numberplate

platypus 31-05-2004 02:53 AM

pretty, i like it a lot

and yeah its photoshop, or the back ground has been added

geetee 31-05-2004 02:58 AM

yeah thought that.
also noticed the fuel filler is on the wrong side.
it looks like a wee go kart! what fun!

platypus 31-05-2004 09:05 AM

hmm i think i now have some inspiration to buy a BG, chop it up, and glue it back together.. shortening the nose will be fun

and congrats geetee, i wouldn't of picked up the fuel door!! but i did notice the rubber doesn't quite stand out enough, and not quite enough light passing through underneath, but they must be congratulated, as the reflections in the car body match up well, and do not have a photographer in sight!!!
