if you dont have one already. i have a LHS front indicator you can have somewhere.

Cosmo Dude 18-05-2014 08:25 AM

First thing it needs it a wash followed by a cut and polish.

Yeah gonna get a buffer wheel, would it be better if I clay bar then cut and polish, also is there some sort of paint protection stuff to stop it from fading

Clean_Cookie 18-05-2014 02:56 PM

Well clearly it's not working! Just cut it out and then reapply polish and wax.

I think u misunderstand, I was asking if there was such a product lol

Cosmo Dude 18-05-2014 09:06 PM

Yep... best thing to stop the paint in good order is polish. Trick is to do it regularly I.E. once very 6 months.

ahh k, i was thinking once a month when i wash it

gotta get my hands on some black series 1/2 door cards, i miss the door pockets

also tried starting today and.... No compression whatsoever, it was actually in 5th gear and was able to push it around by myself, the gearstick was so floppy that i thought it was in neutral!

pr1mo 18-05-2014 10:11 PM

I don't think series 1&2 ever came in black interiors, they were either the blue/green or grey from memory.

BrownDog 18-05-2014 10:13 PM

Hmm, even the grey door cards would work really, but if anyone is up for it I'll swap my entire interior for a grey one

project.r.racing 19-05-2014 03:49 AM

Sounds good until you get to the steering wheel.

BrownDog 19-05-2014 02:10 PM

yeah the wheel has been chewed on by a dog so i gotta get another one of them

project.r.racing 19-05-2014 02:53 PM

the point i was trying to makwe was ALL S3s had a airbag. it was only an oprion for S1/S2s. so you cannot swap to an older interior if it came from a car without an airbag.

Clean_Cookie 20-05-2014 07:56 AM

I probably have a good wheel here in the boxes of stuff. Pretty sure I have a bj wheel identical shape to the ba ones.

Also apologies for mis reading. Yrs I use meguires stuff. Ultimate compound is amazing especially on red cars. Then liquid wax. Or scratchx then liquid wax if so inclined.

BrownDog 20-05-2014 08:03 AM

Cool, everything is sort of EOI atm, bout how much would you want for that one

BrownDog 20-05-2014 12:25 PM
