Wheels scrub on sp20

Hi guys went to mount factory Mazda 17/50/215 on my sp20, unfortunately they hit on the bottom of the shock, would a 40 series tire solve my problem? Also thinking of going a 205 possibly

Yep, going for a smaller profile will solve your issue.

215/40R17 is the correct size for a SP20.
