Audio
  • Sony 2-ways in front doors
  • Stock speakers in rear doors
  • 12" Pioneer sub in ported box

Just an idea... Personally hate footwell lighting being wired to a separate switch, and always on.

Best idea would have been to wire them up to the power supply for the interior / dome light. That would actually make them legal. As they would only turn on when you open your doors. And if you want them on to find something you dropped... Just turn the dome light on and it will all light up ;)
Much neater install.

Anyway... Anyway as above... Hope to see you at some of the upcoming agt events. Even come out to Penrith in a couple of weekends time for a cruise and a dinner (welcome just to come for the cruise).
Then like all the other guys.. I can also convince you to spend all of your money with some of my awesome ideas :p

Oh... But those rims ^^^^ they are nice :)

I'm actually liking this idea better than what I have done so far ... Any idea how I'd get into the dome light circuit ? Running cable to the footwell from the dome light seems a bit excessive. I haven't had much of a look at the electrics of the SP20.

Well you run much larger cables from your head unit to your amp/ sub.
Just use some speaker wire from the dome through the roof lining, down the A pillar into footwell. Then parallel the lights off that.
You can do it dodgy and wrap the wires around the contacts where the light goes. Or can solder them into the wires that plug into the dome

swift jimmy 28-10-2012 06:44 PM

oh no... what happened?

mattb421 28-10-2012 06:45 PM

Going to need long wheel nuts .. stock nuts would technically fit, if you had an impossibly thin tire iron.

swift jimmy 28-10-2012 06:50 PM

well that just sucks :-( now i feel bad.. but that said get urself a set of lock nuts for them aswell and your sweet.. oh and check that the stock thin tire iron fits them aswell

HAIGHIE 28-10-2012 07:00 PM

mattb421 28-10-2012 07:10 PM

Tell me something on here is going to fit ... Making this happen over lunch tomorrow would make me a happy camper.

you need m12x1.5 thread nuts... would also try autobarn and repco also.. failing that any 'good' tyre place should have them in stock aswell

New (to me) toys from Matt... Spent a bit of time cleaning them up.
http://www.astinagt.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=1175

Swapped one wheel over to take a photo. I reckon she's going to look great :D
http://www.astinagt.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=1174

Got a photo of the footwell LEDs. I reckon they're a bit bright.. Probably solving this with a PWM board from jaycar.
