Currently playing around with the speedo (see here http://www.project-l.com/images/bast...cho/thumb.html). Cheers, Chris PS: Still a lot missing in the story - should be enough for now though! |
Very nice and smooth looking car. Good luck with the rest of the mods.
|
Very nice! What steering wheel are you using in the last photos?
|
Thanks guys :)
The wheel is from a MX5 NB... |

Well, i didnt test it, if that's what you mean...however it's wired to the airbag ECU and there's no error code.

The dials were made to order by a german company called k-tec... |
stunning sparkle green ba
who do you get your paint from? also is the front number plate on a bracket or just stuck on love it |
It's stuck on.
Flywheel now lightened... http://www.project-l.com/images/bastel/2010/schwung.jpg Still in need of a good clutch though - any suggestions? Bought a new battery - Optima Redtop Great power output, however, the fitment is "complicated" (if i'm kind).... Due to the way it's made it wont fit properly into the slot plus the connectors are too far from the edges... :( http://www.project-l.com/images/bastel/2010/redtop.jpg However, the modified aircon panel is working now... http://www.project-l.com/images/bast.../klimatest.jpg And finally removed the door openers for painting http://www.project-l.com/images/bast...0/griffeab.jpg |
Some nice progress you've made Chris. Have you got any pictures of the aircon how its now?
|
Sold the aircon panel some time ago. The car has been off the streets for about a year now since i bought a MX5 Roadster - however, it's not forgotten and will be back in 2012 :)
However, i decided to sell the MOMO wheels due to their excess weight and got some lighter replacements :) http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5uP2DPw4O...s1600/lan6.jpg You can check out my blog if you like for a few more pics http://driving-culture.blogspot.com/...ld-friend.html :) The Roadster can also be found there... |
Months and years passing by - finally some development! :D
Got some parts back from powder coating, got a new set of wheels and started reassembling the car at the weekend - should be back on the road this month and i'm pretty chuffed! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fNS51-qHku...1600/apr01.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hWquJlHQiR...1600/apr05.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oH2hc8RxMo...1600/apr06.jpg More pics can be found in my Blog :alien: |
Since i got a new 35mm lens today i took some test pictures :)
The 2012 gauge cluster - considering a swap back to standard though... http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok1.jpg The variable interval wiper stalk http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok2.jpg Tweeters... http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok3.jpg Mazdaspeed P5 shift knob http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok4.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok5.jpg Got leather? http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok6.jpg See you next time :) http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...12/lanbok7.jpg Really have to take better care of the car, but my work and my Roadster have been taking most of my free time away... |
hey mate where did u get those intermitant wiper stalks from ??
car is looking great as usual :) |
Quote:
|
Stalk's from a '97 MX3, they didnt offer it in the BA over here...
|
unlucky. we got it here. but lucky you got it now.
|
Few more test shots from today - dirty paint + sunlight always turns into crappy pictures though....
http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb1.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb2.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb3.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb4.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb5.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...2/lanbokb6.jpg |
how much did you lighten the flywheel?
|
And where did you find those rear skirt thingos. Makes the bumper look much better.
|
Well, they were actually sold by Mazda dealers in germany - as was the whole body kit...they're from an austrian company but have long been discontinued. However, there were some fibreglass copies on the market a couple of years ago. They can still be found on ebay every now and then...
The flywheel was lightened about 2.5 kg, if i remember correclty... |
If you see a set for sale please let me know ;)
|
Can do mate, might take a while though. The golden era for Lantis parts is over :(
|
So i swapped the suspension again and did some basic conservation...
http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/05.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/06.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/03.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/07.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/10.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/13.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/12.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/mylantis/2013/14.jpg Now i still have to swap the front axles, renew the axle dust covers, swap the brake hoses for braided steel ones and get the alignment done - good thing i move in 2 weeks...oh yes, and the timing beld is over due ^^ http://www.project-l.com/images/myla.../lantis13b.jpg http://www.project-l.com/images/myla...3/lantis13.jpg |
Beautiful...post more often dude! I used to dream over this car when i had a sparkle green one, years ago before i was a member of AGT!
