rear brake caliper piston
changing rear brake pads and rotors, have come into to strife getting the piston to retract, pretty sure its not the push and twisty one, have tried undoing the bleed valve, the bolt at back which i was told was the handbrake adjustment and undone the hand brake cable with no success. Anyone had similar problems getting caliper piston to retract? any help would be very appreciated thanks

Undo the 14mm bolt in the back and use an allen key on the bolt inside. There are probably posts with pics.

this thread has helped me too, thanks all for posting.
Trying to eliminate some brake drag on the left rear. Fingers crossed my caliper piston isn't shot and slide pins just needed lubing. |
