Need pics. Sounds like a good project car. I did the full blue led replacement inside the car but went back to normal as the brightness was lacking for usefulness. The black in the bonnet looks hot, just look at brisbane boys ride as he has done this.

http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z...nt188/sp20.png

Or black ones like these

http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z...mg7107copy.jpg

And with the door trim how do you take it off ? Do you need to paint where it used to sit ?

70NYD 06-06-2010 09:28 PM

nice car man :) to take the trim off use a heat gun or a hair dryer with a tub full of patience. u wont need to paint it after u take it of assuming u didnt yank it of and striped the paint :p

marcs_sp20 06-06-2010 09:29 PM

Those black ones are in fact Mazda MPS 6 rims powdercoated black, and they would indeed be hot :D

trent188 06-06-2010 10:05 PM

so if i can find a set of Mazda 6 MPS rims they will fit in all proportions ?

marcs_sp20 06-06-2010 10:13 PM

yep, actually all the new mazda rims will fit our cars, you probably need tyres to remain within legal requirements ;)

trent188 06-06-2010 10:28 PM

is this going to fit ?

http://carmate.com/product_details.p...id=MZPRO02MNFG

because im thinking of getting this and making it black so it looks like this

That's the grille i'm using in the pic you posted above, the seller is great to deal with, the only problem is the grille doesn't fit perfectly. There's a gap in the bottom corners and it took a bit of work to get it to sit level as it was a little twisted. Worth the money but not a great fit :D

For a short ram intake I'm now using this one. eBay intake. It comes with a K&N pod filter which sounds amazing. Much like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpGN_PuFYyk Also given me a few more HP down low :D
