I've always wanted to know what the OE durometer rating would be. But after living with 95's for nearly 18 months I'd be fairly confident custom 70 durometer 'solid' mounts would be more than enough....

Remove the headunit and use a multimeter to check...

Remove the headunit and use a multimeter to check the permanent and ACC power leads. This will let you know if power is getting to the unit or not, you'll find the fault much easier that way.

I suspect 'wheel hop' wouldn't be a problem for him compared to us FWD'ers. At the most I would think about getting inserts for the side mounts (if they are the same design).

It wouldn't actually ruin the sound, but it is quite likely that the sound stage (where you perceive the sound to come from) would not be towards the windscreen where it should be.
