if it has a 76kw bp (or B8) engine, then it isn't...

if it has a 76kw bp (or B8) engine, then it isn't the dohc version. so it wont have a g series gearbox in it. it will have a f series gearbox in it.

There is a lot more factors than just tyre diameter. Wheel offset and suspension ride height also factor into whether a tyre will rub or not.

Would've only been 10mm more diameter if you used 215/35R18s.

Although I fail to understand why you are asking about the gearbox stuff as you are replacing the engine. Just swap all the manual gearbox bits over.

Although different, it looks like it will do the same job. Both bearings have the same inner hole size to fit the upper spring hat.

The newer one is probably just a re-engineered/updated version.

If you have a 1997 Astina as per you profile. You have solid lifters, not HLAs. So nothing you do oil wise or cleaning will stock the ticking. You need to open up the engine and check tolerances...
