So finally I have mounted & wired up my headunit, woot!
Basically had to rebend the factory cassette player cradle to accommodate the cd player. After this we had to cut up some aluminium & pop riveted it to the front mounting points of the cradle so it would still sit low, otherwise the headunit would be half under the controls for the vents!
Unfortunately I dont have any shots of this...
For the outer fascia, I used a Gemini gauge cluster and cut to size, using the inner lip to fit snug up under the vent fascia, works a treat!
And also with the new unit, I upgraded speakers as well, so got some Cadence 240w 6.5" 2ways which came in at $168 with the cd player, so nice & cheap
Hopefully if the weather permits, I wanna give the whole interior a clean out, and possibly give the engine bay tomorrow, fun fun!
