Been reading up on this and I'm so confused. Pre-CAN, post-CAN, no OBDII, yes OBDII, only US, etc. etc., totally confusing.

What I would like to know is if I there is a scan tool that plugs into the OBDII port (yes there is one under the dash) so that I can read fault codes, and data, in real time too if possible. The car is a 2001 BJ2 Astina SP20 5spd.

Also, read about a plug-in Bluetooth OBDII reader that you can use your mobile to check codes, live data, etc. True or false?
