No relationship between the intercooler and oil cooler. Oil both gearbox and engine
breaks down with heat. Hotter you run and the longer you run the less the oil
works and the more damage done to the parts they are supposed to be protecting.
An oil cooler can only help with this everybody knows its a good thing it comes
down to cost. Does a WRX or 200sx have them I dont think so. But thats more
that those cars are built to a $$$ not to a quality mark. Evo Lancers all have them
same as most of the genuine rally cars including WRX's. If you want to put all
your faith on just changing oil your call. Lastly changing to a manual wont fix all
your worries. The later models run a G-Series box same as all the other turbo
323's and it is without doubt the biggest hurdle/problem faced. If I had known
I would be spending $5k on gearboxes in 5 years I may have done a bit more
thinking about my conversion.
