I wouldnt worry about the headers until after you have sorted out the cat back exhaust to something like 2 1/4" with high flow cat or you will get no benefit. Even after this you may get the headers done and still not find the power YOU were hoping for and there is a simple answer to that. Its NA and the auto boxes were never built for speed, they will perform better on the highway than they will on the street.
BTW I wouldnt go near a custom build for the headers and yopu will be extremely lucky to find any for sale in Aus, Custom jobbie may set you back up to $1000 and with very few shops if any that have experience with the v6 'stina
you may as well flush the loot.
I am not talking you out of extractors I just want you to be well aware of what you will be facing along the modified track. Get your headers off the US market (eg: ebay, corksport, rr-racing etc) but you may need a custom cat-back system to suit, but dont go ahead expecting massive gains..
