ok Ed details, but if anyones going to tell be about structual integ and what not i know but i have left more then enough.

anyways

so what you need
Mazda CX-9 ( or CX-7 Turbo) brake calipers and mounting brakets, and bolts

to make it fit:
so you have to use the mazda 6 brake rotors (299mm) rotors, as the CX- 327mm rotor is to wide for the caliper braket to reach the holes on the hub nuckels about 12mm(1/2") off, if that makes sence. so the 299mm rotor is a perfect fit.

once i had figured out the rotor problem i then had the issue with the rotor wouldn't sit flush becuase the caliper braket was to wide and would foul on the rotor preventing it to sit flush againt the hub, so i made the decision to just do it as i have already paid for the brakes so i had nothing to loose.

so i machined the braket out a little bit with a grinder to recess it back a bit to give it clearance

then once you have it all mounting evenly you have to drill out the two holes on the hub with a 9/16ths drill bit ( just slightly bigger then 14mm) so the bolt can go through easily ( bolt is M14 ).

as far as brake lines go its all direct swap.
the peddel is the tinyest bit softer up top but is still very firm, i still have to adjust the hand brake up a little as it is currently not so good. so that might just be my problem love the handbrake adjustment so easy

the advantage of this over the mazda 6/CX-7 non turbo. is well i haven't messure the pistons yet so i can't say its a stronger braking force but i ges it's a little bit more evenly despenced braking force over the pad, and the pad has an extra 3mm of friction surface at the bottem compaired to the mazda6 pads, but really over all it's not going to be noticeable, my bigest problem ATM is no A.B.S. lol,

i just have to get use to not having to stomp on the brake anymore as i use to have to do

also i think an up grade to the rears would help balance out the braking distrabution aswell an not make the front SO dominate.

if you have anymore questions ed i'll be more then happy to answer as best i can you could posible be the fisrt person in the state to complete this conversion
