UPDATE:

We left the car at my parents place last night, the old boy called me up this morning to tell me that the no.4 spark plug was completely squashed! after hearing this, i quickly raced over there with another set just to see what would happen when we put some fresh plugs in. It sounds like whatever is swimming round is still embedded in the piston...

The parents mechanic is gonna speak with mazda at bundamba 2moro to see what grounds we have to stand on... Im still screwed anyways.

Would anyone have a clue how much it would be to actually fix?
