So latest update... Putty road still open.
There is currently a fire through one section at Wollemi and Yengo national park at Howes swamp. But that's now a low risk level and under control.
So all is looking good for the day.
Don't forget to bring some snacks, plenty of water, CB / UHF radio, Full tank of petrol, and sunscreen (unless you want a mad truckie tan
).
