Just in case some of you guys are not registered with Mazda.....

For SP20's that qualify (see below) there is a free service to fix a problem with the VICS butterfly valve, where after a bit of time it comes loose. normally it will only rattle a bit and make the car run a bit worse. But in the worst case some cars have had the butterfly get loose and try to make its way a little closer to the piston then it should.

Applies to: SP20's built from 03 March 2003 - 01 September 2003

(according to their numbers my car is in the last 100 of SP20's built, woohoo about that time they probably got slack and QA went out the window!
