yeh mazda is simply gonna say the VICS recall applied to a certain VIN range. your car doesnt fall within the range..tough luck....but of course you can try and write to them again....substantiate the claim with info about numerous cars from the u.s also falling victim to the dreaded VICS screws and how their car wasnt within the recall range.
