WTB: BA Astina Hardtop V6 Manual

As the subject says I'm looking for a BA Astina Hardtop V6, preferably manual. They seem pretty thin on the ground and I'm having trouble finding one so if you own one and have been thinking of selling get in touch. I'd prefer a standard car but will also consider a car with upgraded wheels and stereo. Looking in Canberra, southern NSW (Sydney too) and south east Qld as I'll be there in a couple of weeks.

I'm located in Canberra and can be reached via e-mail at

dansmail@fastmail.fm

Thanks,
Dan

I'd love to sell the SP to you Tony...it's a tad worse for wear though! Thanks CityEnd for whacking that link in. I'm sure it will turn up at a damaged car auction somewhere.

Good call on carsales, I've made an enquiry about a 97 Hardtop Dark Blue manual for sale somewhere near Sydney. I've been living on carsales, carpoint, drive.com.au and trading post websites for a few weeks now, hardtop BA V6 manuals aren't exactly common, hence my reason for asking here.

Have found another one in Brissie that looks promising, might see if they can hold it for me until I get up there. It's definitely not noble green!

An e-tag and NSW plates???

Most Noble greens I have seen advertised are called blue as it is a mystery colour and is difficult to tell. I believe that their was no blue option for Auustralia

u got to wonder who named all these astina colors, if they were color blind or not... or maybe it's just me.

ok... at first glance
noble green = looks navy
indigo blue = looks like it's light grey
that other blue, forgot it's name, but was for the 97 astina j-pec = looked purple to me.

My mother has a C200 MB that looks even bluer and is called green. Those wacky folk in marketing need to keep their hands above the table

I don’t have any thing specifically on the astina .. but I do have some very informative disks (CD) on the Ford America range.. this includes the Probe with the V6 motor in it..
It will tell you how to pull out all of the drive train and motor in excruciating detail and how to set up the idle and timing and alike. It also had the on board diagnostics for our cars…
Again it is not specific for the astina but the motor trans and all things mechanical are actually the same.. (ok so the intake design, the size of the motor, the diameter of the drive axels and wiring of the ecu is different).. but im sure it will be more than helpful..
They do not work on windows M.E..
As for the similarity of the I4 motors and drive, I have not a clue…
but you get all kinds of inf/specs diagrams and info like ......
