Buying a BA Astina (maybe)???
Hi guys, I'm new to astina GT, I'm looking at buying a BA astina (I love the shape, Yum.), obviously the V6 has a wee bit more power, but I have always been a 4 banger man. Other then then power is there any advantage of buying the V6 i.e. less problem etc. ???

V6 the good
bigger + better front brakes. ABS (not that important) driver and passenger airbags V6 the bad tighter engine bay = more labour costs for mechanical work. minimal engine performance parts (not that important) higher rego costs higher fuel costs |

crap engine, that's what I've heard
Before buying mine BA I spoke to three mechanics from different garages. All three of them said its a **** and unreliable engine. There is something with weak oil circulation. |

uuum the mazda V6 is the same (almost) engine in countless ford and mazda cars for years, and it, along with 99% of other mazda engines is very damn reliable. the poor thing, like ryan said is that u have no room to work on it and threfore fixing it costs more money..
