My Astina needs a lot of work!

Just bought this 3rd hand Astina recently
Still in good condition but needs a lot of minor repairs here and there.
Major repair will be the paint job, there are signs of rust in a few areas. Will do the paint job when i have the money.
My main concern now is the suspension. First thing is there is a slight "steer to the left" when I release the steering on straight roads (sorry for my terms I'm completely noob with cars). Then when i hit a "valley" or indentation on the road the suspension or wheels will hit something with a loud 'thuk'. I have driven other cars on the same road with the same speed but their absorbers took the shock without any problems. Are my absorbers too soft? too low? too old?

the steering is more than likely an alignment which you can get at any tyre place as for the suspension it could be any number of things but being a 18-19 year old car it cant hurt to look at replacing or at the very least getting them looked at
