Fulcrum Suspension in accident
Hi guys,
I saw this earlier today, and have just gotten an update with the reference to Fulcrum Suspension: http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...22-952,00.html A bit sad really Only goes to show that everyone (even a professional) needs to be vigilant on the road, especially when its wet.

If this happened at Fairfield Road, it's more likely to have been from the Yeerongpilly store the 2 guys were from, and not Moorooka [unless they were driving between the 2 stores?]. Not to take away from the severity of what's happened - but that particular Fulcrum store [Yeerongpilly] is already my least favourite in the chain, and I'm somewhat not surprised that this happened if they were from that store. If it were guys from the Moorooka store, I'm very surprised. Regardless, they both work on high performance and handling cars day in and day out. This sort of thing should never have happened.

I'm quite surprised that 7 showed what they did, as there were witness marks left on the car from the occupants.
I hope that police don't charge the owner of the vehicle for anything, like they did to that guy in WA a couple months ago. |

From what I saw on 7 news, the car appeared to have gone under the trailer of the truck. So you know how that goes after that...

From the look of the car it must have been a massive accident.
My condolences to the families. http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...22-952,00.html |

doent look like a race car, how long till next targa? well the age eliminates the cronic over-steer i would have thought would cause the accident (think 1970s 911, grip, grip, grip, rear overtakes front)
if u remember back to the classic adelaide they couldnt figure out how that porsche crashed. straight road. everything was setup perfectly. it was THE car, everyone tried to use that car as thier goal. and i can tell u the pictures shown on the news were no where near the severity of it, it was 1/3rd the width, with the body/cage pushed inches off the chassis (over 2", and the car literally wrapped around the tree) (source was an ex-competitor, who was mates with the car behind it (a ferrari challenger for those interested) and saw his photos - they will never be published or handed out/shown publicly. even the best setups fail

He had his car with a mechanic getting worked on, and the mechanic went out speeding in the car, and the owner was fined despite the police acknowledging that the car was left in the mechanic's care during the time of the incident. So, will the owner of this Porsche be responsible for this in some way? Particularly if it had mods, or was deflectable in any way.

I dare say that the owner of this Porsche wont be fined, as its clear that he was not responsible for the crash...

When your car is impounded there is a significant fine to go along with it.
For me it was $250 for the tow, and $100/day [only 2 days thank fark!]. |
