Gutting Old HiFi Sub Box

Howdy Doody. Ive got this 13 year old Sony HiFi system that has been sitting here collecting dust that i decided to strip to re use. I'm not sure what i should do after gutting it though... i dont know if i should replace the internal parts and connect it to my electronic equipment in my room or turn it into an empty box and just put my Logitech sub in there.

If i put my Logitech sub in there it might sound crap because its boxed off (except for the front). I kind of do/dont want to put a new sub inside because i've nothing to connect the sub to (FAIL). i was also thinking to gut my Logitech sub to replace into that box... although that would be an awesome idea im kind of hesitating because i dont want to destroy the perfectly good sub... Suggestions?

P.S. Its a 10" sub

I wouldnt bother. Youd have to do some maths to work out if the z5500 sub would work in that size enclosure.

The difference between car subs and HT subs AFAIK is that HT subs are long throw. There also tuned differently. Car audio gear cares very little for audio quality generally and more about volume.

fair enough. i'll just remove everything and just hide the logitech sub in there (without gutting that sub).
