Matt's SP20

Hi All,

This is a bit of a introduce myself as well as about my new car.

I live on the central coast and was previously driving around a 2003 323, it started having a few issues and the engine needs replacing on it. The body isn't in good condition at all really so I decided to not get it repaired.

After looking around I finally found my new car which I purchased from Brisbane and drove it down on Sunday!

It is a 2002 BJ II J48 Titanium Grey in color, it is in great condition for a 11 year old car. Inside is pretty much spotless and outside is pretty much the same as well!

It has a couple of small oil leaks which won't be to much of a problem but the main issue is the rear main seal has a slight oil leak. It isn't to bad at this stage but in the next few months I will get it replaced and also put a new clutch in as well while I am at it.

The car itself is pretty much stock expect it has a fairly good sound system installed and has 18" Advanti Vapour rims.

Here are a couple of pictures of the car, I only have a couple from the seller going to get better pictures this weekend.

Don't have to many plans over the next month but will be doing the following

- Transferring to NSW rego
- Fix the 2 easier oil leaks
- Replace the wheels with stock for now, I am just not sure about the current ones.
- Change the Head Unit with something more updated

Rear main seal and clutch will come later with a few more mods.

Look forward to getting some ideas for my car and meeting a few people!

Matt

The wheels are growing on me a little bit! If i keep them i have to change the tyres though as they are extremely noisy. I am not sure what color wheels I should get if i do replace them.

Yep I am planning to lower it but that will probably come in the early parts of next year along with a few other mods like the exhaust.

At the moment as I type it is hailing though and I have no where to move my car! So hopefully it doesn't have any damage otherwise I will be pretty annoyed.

I am located at Kincumber at the moment.

For a car thats done 165,000km and 11 years old it is in great condition. Had a quick look and there doesn't appear to be any hail damage either thanks goodness!

I haven't had time to update this for a little while but this thread has come to a sad end.

On Tuesday this week someone T boned my car and today I found out that it is a write off.

Here is a picture of the damage

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bkwk3yn8a0...2008.37.08.jpg

Not sure if I am going to get another SP20 or not. I am looking at maybe getting a Mazda 6.

I managed to get the Dash Mat, and Floor Mats out of the car and will probably be listing them up soon for sale if anyone is interested. They are all in great condition (Drivers side showing the most wear).

Also if anyone looks out for wrecks to buy this would be a great purchase. The damage you see in that picture is it. Everything else is spotless and there is no damage to the engine.

Thanks for looking at what turned out to be a short thread

Matt

Yeah I was very lucky to walk away from it!

Car has been officially written off and I have put a deposit on a Honda Accord Euro. So I will have a few SP20 items for sale soon which I will post up. Including a set of Mazdaspeed Familia wheels, in 17x7 +55 5x114.3.
