Wait until you're in the full swing of summer, and it's another 10-15C hotter.

I work in a PC store and have seen the difference heat makes on a pc.
A few years ago every day I would see a motherboard with burst caps on them, the hotter the case temps the faster they died, now its hp laptops with dead video cards I get a dead one in everyday.
There is an asus press release talking about heat affecting product life.
http://event.asus.com/mb/5000hrs_VRM/

These are my pcs

Asus overclock their GPUs like mad. So that's prolly the source of your heat.

I'm liking my Antec 900, but one of the lights has gone out on the lower front fan.

Thappy: The Antec 900's weak point is that it is short dimensionally front to back inside the case. The Antec 1200 fixes this, or tight arses can buy the NZXT Tempest alternatively...

Dont buy a Thermaltake V9, I have seen a lot of the top fans fail. The blades flex downwards and clip the case making a lot of noise or breaking fins off the fan.

It's a big cooler that doesn't fit in the Antec 900!!! They aren't that tiny, I have 2xHD4850 video cards in mine...

There is a 900-II, which fixes some issues that are in my 900. Antec are OK, and somewhat innovative.

I'd rate Coolermaster cases above Thermaltake, for style at least... Both brands cost mroe than I care to pay for a case anyhow.

This was my "new" budget PC. I think I might have to upgrade some components though to give it a boost as I'm about to get into some video editing. Or I might build a second PC.
iCute box
intel core 2 duo E7400 @ 2.8ghz
cheapo asus p5kpl-cm motherboard
only one memory 2gig DDR2 - Though im running XP... so meh.
NVIDIA geforce 9500 GT 1gig. so far sufficient for the NOTHING that I do.
oh and just a basic 500G HD

4 x 1TB (2 x Seagate, 2 x Western Digital) in Raid 10
4 x Vantec EZ SWAP 4's (one per 1TB drive for hot swappability)
3 x 22inch Widescreen LCD monitors

1 x Terratec EWX 24/96 sound card

and of course:

i want to eventually change the motherboard to one which supports SLI and buy a second GTX 295 and run them both together.

I also want to get the heat down in the case. Perhaps water cooling i dunno.
