Totally!! Even the fact now it takes me 20secs to get just off the gutter coming out of the driveway... that makes it fun, also very nerve racking haha

Im keen! Although i better actually register my car soon, because i still havnt haha
Dw man im sure your car will be great! I honestly met up with some of the Illawarra and Sydney people when i was 100% stock (4WD height), and although i just kept thinking how good their cars were, it gave me so many ideas for my own! So if you like to spend all your money on your car, just meet up and have a chat and im sure haighie (Andy) will be able to talk you into something haha. Just a great bunch of people and atmosphere to be around

Its that time again! Yes its been a while, but ive only just done some new mods so here they are

After i relowered the car it sat like this for a few months, also bought some Clear Side Indicators

Decided to spray my horn Red haha. Little mod and not very noticeable, but when looking for it directly front on you can see it

Finally added a strutbar, only the stock SP20 version, however when i save up some more im hoping to get F&R Corksport versions

As my rear passenger door's actuator had been playing up since i bought it, i finally sourced a new (well 2nd hand) one, and now the central locking works like a treat!

And finally after a long time saving (takes ages to save working at Maccas :P), i finally got some new wheels For $440 including tyres with quite decent tread it was a buy i couldnt resist. Currently they are plastidipped Gunmetal Grey however in the school holidays im hoping to spend some time repairing the gutter rash underneath and doing a DIY spray job, most likely in a Silver/Alloy colour. I will post those new photos in roughly 3weeks

Yea im not sure guys. Im thinking of using the Gunmetal Grey plastidip can to recoat the wheels, as 1 can for wheels left a very light coat haha. Now when i really try to clean the wheels it starts to peel back. A new coat will be the final decider if i go a different colour or not

Now you sound like Carney haha. All good im keen to hear different opinions however im most likely going to return to a silver/alloy colour, as i personally like 'lighter' colours wheels on dark cars

Hey bud, sorry for the late response!

Wreckers... well ive only ever been to 1 in my life and subsequently i was able to find (be convinced) to buy a SP20 Nardi steering wheel, of which was an awesome buy! Smaller diameter = less turning :P, plus the feel of leather and overall better wheel, makes driving even that little bit more enjoyable Cost me $80, which was a very good deal for the condition its in.

I would also recommend the SP20 strutbar (front) as it makes a very notice difference in handling, on our 1.6 & 1.8's which dont come with one I was offered one for $60, just to give you an idea of price.

By 'Mazda Green' are you referring to the orginal dark metallic green (i dont know the colour code)? If so, yes it is, unfortunately its peeling in some spots however the rest still shines quite well, with the odd scratch & minor dent (not me of course :P)

I hope all is going well for your car and i look forward to meeting you on the next cruise. If you have any more queries feel free to send me a message/comment whatever, OR check through the different threads for millions of ideas. Other than that i'd highly recommend Andy ('haighie' on forums), as he has not only given me ideas but can explain/help with anything anything and everything

Unfortunately not much has happened over the last couple of months Mainly due to paying my On-Roads... HOWEVER i have had enough money for some little DIY mods, just for a bit of learning ands LOLs :P

So here is my 2nd LED setup i decided to have a crack at, this one is actually somewhat practical as you'lll realise

Sitting on the top (front) of hood

Even works well in the day!

Well what can i say! At night, they work even better than expected AND light up the area in front of the car aswell haha

FYI - This idea was half stolen from BenCarney, but he's a cool guy so lets hope he doesnt get angry :P
My other LED setup is pretty typical, just the footwells (under dash) in RED, to match all the other little red highlights ive put around the car. I will upload those soon

OLD UPDATE

I only just realised i missed another little DIY mod i did a while back. Incase people havn't notice in recent pictures of my car, i sprayed both the top and bottom grille's on the front bar. Restoring a gloss black look

No front bumper For those who've never seen.

Bottom half done and back in

Finished product!!!

Yes, ill have to admit, both my front bar and hood are badly stone chipped I just tell people it was used as a Rally Car before me :P haha

Another fault is my roof, of which the clear coat has peeled back very badly. Ive washed and polished hundreds of times to stop/reduce it, although about 3months ago when we had a lot of rain. The water go underneath some more and its now spread across 1/2 of the roof Ive polished the unprotected sections so it doesnt stand out heaps, although all 3sections are in definite need of a respray OR atleast some PlastiDip for the meanwhile

ONLY MINOR UPDATE

Nothing too major, just slowly adding more parts/replacing broken parts/upgrading parts haha. Heres some photos anyways

How it currently sits... missing JDM install & HIDs

Red Horns + White LED Foggies. the 2nd horn (to the right) doesnt work, just put their for looks haha. Foggies are hard to see, as its daylight. However at night shine well and really compliment having the White HIDs aswell. Although FYI ive found these LEDs to output less light than original foglights, so really just for looks :P

White LED Parkers and White LED Foggies

JDM Taillight Conversion. Illuminates bottom half of lights. Looks amazing, especially as my wiring took me months to figure out why it was stuffing up. Coloured wires mean different things on each side, who knows why! My LED globes dropping out signal, so eventually ive just gone to using BAY15D Filament Globes, which gives the current result

These are some other items i recently bought. Including:
- foam strips for behind the number plate, as the bass was making it rattle
- JVC headunit i purchased i few months back, as already mentioned
- Alpine SPS-619 6x9" speakers, for the rear shelf (replacing Sony's)
- Kicker KX400.1 Mono amp (replacing 2ch Pioneer)

FINALLY, heres the Micro 16GB SanDisk USB i bought off eBay (only $13!). Fits in very well with the headunit, with the black on black, with Red writting to match my Red display

NEW UPDATE!!

As always its been months since I updated this thread, just thought id finally show off my new wheels. Ive probably missed a few minor mods inbetween, but a few photos below will show the major change Unfortunately ive increased ride height substantially, as my coilovers are still not stiff enough to cater for poke at my old height. Ohh well, maybe next with a 195 tyre I can get the tyres to sit inside a little more and drop it back down!

Wheel specs are: 17" by 7.5" +15 offset, with 205/40 tyres (minor stretch)

Rear fitment with 2.5degrees of camber...

Front fitment with 1.5degrees of camber...

How it now sits. A heap higher ride height than previously, although no rubbing
