Electric Windows
Hey guys,
Hopefully this will be a quick one, im tired of having to sit with the engine running, or forget to leave it on, to put up the electric windows. Call me lazy ok, but i'm in a luxury sports car, why not feel like it? Ha? So here plain and simple, i'd like the auto feature, one click to go up or down, installed to at least the passenger if not all of the windows, and the ability to just click the auto switchs, bust my keys out, flick the locks as im hoping out and have the windows up as i close the door. Possible? Of course it is Ideas, maybe steps? Thanks guys! Steve.

Im pretty sure most aftermarket central locking kits have the ability of being able to put the windows up once the car has been alarmed, mate had it in his swift sedan, cant remember what brand it was (as it was a couple years ago) & also had the self start aswell...

Hmm self start would be yummy, heard a horror story from a mate when his car jumped around hittin cars around it when he turned it on remotely lol.
But i dont really have the cash at the moment to upgrade to an alarm system, at minimum i would like the passenger window with an auto switch

head on down to jaycar and ask them. they have a kit that does it, you'll need on for each door but they aren't too expensive. they just hook into 12 and acc and detect when acc goes off, when it does it puts the window up. i think there's also a fancy one that remembers window position and opens it to that position next time you start the car (would suck if it was raining and you had the window before ).

i'd be thinking that there is 12v in the door somewhere, you wouldn't want the motors running off acc only.
EDIT: i just looked at the wiring diagrams for the ba's. the entire shebang runs off the ignition . you'd need to run your own power to the door. wouldn't be hard, there's plenty of places under the dash for it

Where did you get the wiring diagrams? Are they available here on the Forum?
I actually just bought a JayCar Electric window kit to use with my Rhino Alarm, and just need to know which colours are which on the Drivers door?

that wouldnt be the electris window kit that closes the windows would it? if so good luck, i'm starting to give up on it. you have to run wire to every bloody door.
wiring diagrams are on 323f under BAs--> guides

if they run of the ignition couldnt you just trace it back to that original wire? like have the one from acc (ignition) as the trip for the system, and then have this one spliced right in to it, or just from one to all the doors? btw i dont know what im talking bout exactly, never seen the unit at question here
