They mount to the top of the bumper, in front of the grille.

Wouldn't have a clue, sorry! In the BG options brochure they were shown mounted on the top of the bumper. I can measure them for you if you want though.

About $35-45 or so more for shipping than the shipping for the mirrors

Tein springs for BA Astina / CBA Lantis. Front spring rate 5.9kgf/mm, rear 2.9kgf/mm. Front drop 43mm, rear 48mm. $180

Would that spring rate be for the closely spaced or wide spaced portion of the spring? Would you know what is the OEM spring rate?

The OEM spring rate is around 2.5kg from memory. The Tein spring rate is a collective/average rate for the whole spring, which is how it has to be measured on a progressive spring.

Well it's up to you - but it's not legal to remove an Airbag wheel from a car that came fitted with one.
There is a couple of different airbag wheels you can replace yours with though.
Momo: http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9760
And there's a Efini leather airbag wheel off an FD RX-7 that'll fit too. Someone on here has pics in their Worklog thread.

It'd be $105 for the 5 rims to WA, via insured courier
