Hi guys,,,
When it is hard to go into gear 1 when the car move just a lil.. Slower than 5 kms... what is the problem? And getting into gear 2 will always have the sound when you did not step on the clutch and change gear BUT I did step on the clutch... What is the problem? Is it the transmission fluid or other factor? |

Not sure what you are getting at. Question is pretty jumbled. If you are referring to slight grind when shifting up/down to 2nd. This probably means selectors are worn. Try pushing clutch flat to floor & more gentle change If however you get hard changes & grinding on a regular basis. Could be your clutch pretty worn/old. Also, if it is hard to change into 1st whilst you are stopped & it feels like you have to force it. This could be clutch @ the end of it's life

NaughtyGT... I think you are right... it is only a slight grind when shifting to gear 2... However this doesnt happen all the time... If I change it gently... It is ok...
According to what you said, I think it is the clutch... EDITED because did not read naughtyGT upper post... xD Last edited by miah87; 09-04-2010 at 10:38 AM. Reason: because did not read naughtyGT upper post... xD |

Hokay, so on the BG SP there's a screw behind the throttle lever and under the dashpot. Can someone please tell me how far that screw is supposed to protrude from the thread at its stock setting?
Short of that, could someone with an SP do a quick measure of it please? |

If you put bigger rims on your car do you lose power?
Say 14s to 18s. |

Its all about the weight of the rim, more weight = more inertia to get it rolling assuming the outside diameter of both (with tyres of course) is the same

And about where the weight is... Further out increases the forces required to spin the wheel.
So if you're changing heavy small wheels for light big wheels you may have little difference.
