[color=#000000ost_uid1]Depends on what else you are planning on doing to the car.
If just springs then probably Kings as they are firmer so will reduce body roll. However if you plan on upgrading the sways as well you can go a softer spring for a better ride and use the uprated sways to reduce bodyroll. Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Either way go a progressive spring cause they are a little
softer on ride. Mal[/colorost_uid1]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]I like kmac cause the quality of the spring is quite good and they are progessive... usually $350 delivered to your door[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Moving the centre of gravity more to the rear is not a good
thing on a FWD car as it will promote wheelspin. Better to go the other way. RWD cars do it for weight over the pushing wheels = better traction. Sometimes the front is already lower so when you drop it the front don't need as much. Thats the only reason I could think of why you would do it. Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]lowering the rear of your car more than the front, not only increases the likelyhood of wheelspin, but reduces weight transfer to the fronts under braking,
which would reduce braking traction i wouldn't suggest it. as previously mentioned, it would only really be done if the front was already lower than the rear, but even then, it's been done for a reason.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]3" is really as low as you should go.. and for good handling 2.5" is the best I have been told... King springs used to do it but dont anymore...
Most good spring companies wont sell lower than 2" because its not really neccessary. I want to lift mine from 4" to 3" cause I think if it stays like that any longer it will cause damage...[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Hopefully your car shouldn't bottom out as [i'm assuming you've got a 94-98 model] the wheel arches are pretty huge! When i had my car lowered [short live, but that's another story] i think it was between 2½ - 3 inches and it didn't bottom out. That was on factory shocks too.
I have a question. The Kings springs are progressive on the rear and not on the front. Is this because the engine is in the front thus needing the linear spring rate??[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#FF7F00ost_uid0]i would recommend 2 and 1/2 lowered progressive springs.
by the way, astina, whats the reasonable price for the alloys and what size are they?[/colorost_uid0]
