CAI Part Number

G'day, struggling to find a CAI kit to chuck on my Astina BA 1997. If you guys can chuck up any links/brands/part numbers and such that'd be might helpful.

there wasnt one made for the the BA astina 1997 unless you found a rare mazda speed one. best thing to do is make a custom one

The only one off the shelf for the BA is an ARC intake box from Japan.

Otherwise, you'll gain more power by keeping the airbox and running a good panel filter. Just remove the ducting under the airbox and run a pipe from the front bumper to there.

as above, just replace the filter. anything else will just be cosmetic and nil gains.

Cheers for that. In terms of panel filters, I'm gonna go ahead and guess K&N would be a good start. If I were to go for a pod filter, what exact model/should I be looking at? Also what's involved with getting rid of the ducting?

Yep, a lightly-oiled K&N is a pretty good thing.

As for the ducting, remove the airbag, and then it's a few bolts that hold the resonance chamber in place. From memory you can put the front left wheel off and loosen the inner guard liner, and that's the easiest way to get it out.
