EOI: Weekend Camping/Cabining Trip
LOL Cabining isn't even a real word...
http://www.borumbadeerpark.com/index.html Above link is to a Camping/Cabin place near Imbil, where the QLD Rally is held. Can camp or have a cabin for the night. Cheap rates. 160km/2hrs from Brisbane. And for tarmac play time, you get to use the top half of the Sunny Coast Hinterland. Any more ideas of what to do or suggestions of were to stay? If you do make a suggestion, make sure it is within 3 hours of Brisbane, that way more QLD members can attend. Last edited by project.r.racing; 07-03-2010 at 05:15 PM. |

If you go there when theres been alot of rain you can drive up the road and float down from the bridge to the weir type thing. The vans there are ****** though, id camp and try and get a spot down the bottom near the water
Its nicer and theres big open area for fires etc.

Might be interested just need dates and locations:P
Recently stayed at Paradise dam up near bundaberg. was a great place could camp right on the edge of the dam and they had bbqs and toilets. No showers but does it really matter for a weekend? http://www.paradisedam.com.au/17/off...dam-facilities |

The cabins cannot be any worse than Dorrigo's cabins. For 1 or 2 nights, it should be a issue as you are only in them to sleep.
Camp fire is always good. So camping does appeal. But at least the cabins are there for those who cannot rough it for a night. Dates? Dunno? Winter/Summer/who cares? |

Ryan from what i remember the cabins are fine, just the vans!
Ill prolly camp as its nice flat ground down the bottom and loo, showers and stuff are close enough by There are few things in winter you wont wanna swim or go down the creek, so id aim for either sept or end of easter sort of time. It can get pretty cold out there so make sure to pack a good sleeping bag and some ugg boots! EDIT: Wonder where i put the tent....

Once a year. But is very busy and best to stay away as all close accommodation is full around that weekend. Lots of truck, tourists and police that weekend. |

Noosa North Shore and Double Island Point are 2 different areas. Don't confuse the 2.
