626 KLDE auto into 323 KFDE manual

Hi everyone,

Long time since ive posted on here.
Im currently going through doing a 2 - 2.5 litre conversion.

Currently forseeing a problem. The doner 626 i have is auto. I will be putting a manual gearbox onto it.

Now is there a manual and auto ecu for the 626's? Or does the transmission have a seperate tcu? Will i need a manual ecu for the conversion? Or is there no diffeence between the ecu?

ecu are the same i think .
just the looms that are different ,you just got to join two wires so the ecu thinks its in neutral so it can start

Bolt it up to the Astina trans and use the existing ECU and wiring. You could also use the Astina inlet manifold, it'll bolt straight up to the KL-DE.

Theres a couple ecu on eBay and at road tested spares.

Would the gain be worth doing? Im not fussed about changing the loom, ill manage that easybut is there a real difference.
