Buying a 323

I currently own a 94 MX6 (modded) and looking to purchase a daily driver car. Seriously looking at a 323 (v6) manual 95-97 model. It's within my budget and cheap to insure.

Whats the V6 323 like on fuel?
Does the 323 have short gearing ratio? In the MX6 doing 100km/h, the revs will sit just above 3000rpm in 5th
The ATX in the MX6 is crap, is it the same in the 323?
Is there anything I should look for when buying one?
